How does it work?

From the moment you pick a plan to the moment you're online at your destination — the whole process, no small print.
Never installed an eSIM before? This is exactly the place to start.

So what is an eSIM, without the marketing fog

An eSIM is a digital SIM card. Instead of a plastic card that goes into your SIM tray, a software profile is installed on your device and connects to a local mobile network at your destination. There is nothing to order by post, no queue at the airport and no tiny card to lose.

Your Israeli SIM stays exactly where it is. The eSIM joins it as an extra line on your device, and you choose which line handles data.

Two things worth knowing before you buy: your device has to support eSIM and must not be locked to a carrier, and the plans we sell are data plans — they do not include a local phone number for calls or SMS. WhatsApp, Telegram and calls through apps work as usual over the data connection.

Four steps and you are connected

That is the whole process, from start to finish
  1. 1
    Choose your destination

    Tell us where you're flying.

  2. 2
    Pick a plan

Compare data, validity and price, then tap SIMM me.

  3. 3
    Get your eSIM

The QR code and setup instructions reach your inbox the moment you pay.

  4. 4
    Connect when you land

Turn on data roaming and start browsing.

What happens behind the scenes once you have paid

The moment your payment goes through, your order is prepared with the network provider and an eSIM is reserved for you. Most of the time it is a matter of minutes: the QR code is e-mailed to you and appears in your account area as well.

Sometimes the provider needs a little longer. When that happens the order does not get stuck and it does not get forgotten — we keep checking it in the background, and if it is still not ready it goes to a real person on our team. A paid order always gets an answer, even when something along the way did not go to plan.

Three ways to install

They all reach the same result. Pick whichever suits you

Scanning a QR code

Open the QR code on another screen — a computer, a tablet, or the phone of someone next to you — and scan it with the camera of the device you will use the plan on.

One-tap install

Your account area has install buttons waiting for iPhone and Android. Open them on the device you will use the plan on, and the settings go in without you typing a thing.

Manual installation

For devices that cannot scan a QR code: your account area shows the SM-DP+ address, activation code, ICCID and APN — each with a copy button.

Installing, step by step

Best done at home, a few days before you fly
Step 1

Connect to stable Wi-Fi

Installing downloads the profile over the internet, so it needs a good connection. Do it at home or at the office, not in the terminal minutes before boarding.

Step 2

Open your account area

Your account → My eSIMs. That is where we put your QR code, the quick-install buttons and the manual install details.

Step 3

Install the profile

Scan the QR code, tap the install button for your device, or enter the details by hand. The device will ask you to confirm adding a cellular plan — confirm it.

Step 4

Give the line a clear name

Name the line after your destination so you do not mix your lines up. On most plans, installing does not start the validity period yet — that begins with the first connection to a network at your destination, and every plan spells this out.

One rule of thumb

Install at home, activate at your destination.

You have landed. What now

Four small settings and you are online

Where everything is kept

Everything to do with your eSIM sits in your account area, under My eSIMs: the QR code, the install buttons for iPhone and Android, the manual installation details with copy buttons, the plan's destination, its data allowance, its validity and its status. When the network provider reports usage figures, how much is left is shown there too.

These details are visible only to the person who placed the order, and we keep them encrypted.

And one more thing, an important one: do not delete the eSIM from your device. An eSIM profile deleted from a device cannot be installed again.

Questions we get before a first installation

Before, while you have a stable Wi-Fi connection. On most plans installing does not start the validity period yet, but it depends on the plan — check when validity starts in the details of the plan you bought.

The device has to support eSIM and must not be locked to a carrier. If your device settings offer the option to add an eSIM or a cellular plan, the device supports eSIM. Network locking is a separate matter, and it is worth checking with your carrier that the device is not locked.

In most plans yes, but it depends on the plan and on the device. Every plan card shows the line Hotspot with the value Supported or Not supported, so you can check before you buy rather than after.

Yes, as long as your original SIM card is in the device and active. The eSIM joins as an extra line, it does not replace it. Do note that our plans are data plans and do not include a local phone number.

A paid order never stays stuck. We keep checking it against the supplier, and if it doesn't sort itself out, it moves to a human at our end. You're always welcome to message us onWhatsApp: 058-476-6666 or in the chat right here on the site.

Check that data roaming is switched on for the eSIM plan and that it's set as your active data line. If that doesn't help, our support team is on hand and will help you.

Got a destination in mind?

Now you know how it works, all that is left is choosing where. Compare data, validity and price — and your eSIM will be waiting in your inbox and in your account area.
